On April 26, the Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee directed the organization of fireworks to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national unification April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2024.
According to instructions, Ho Chi Minh City will only organize fireworks displays at 5 locations instead of 16 locations as previously reported. This is a move following a proposal to change the number of shooting points by the Department of Culture and Sports and the Ho Chi Minh City Command.

Specifically, the city will organize 1 high-range shooting point at the beginning of the Saigon River Tunnel, Thu Thiem ward, Thu Duc city and 4 low-range shooting points at: Thao Dien villa area, Thao Dien ward, Thu Duc city. Germany (shot on barge); Van Phuc urban area, Hiep Binh Phuoc ward, Thu Duc city; Lot N4-D6 Tay Bac Industrial Park, Tan An Hoi commune, Cu Chi district and Dam Sen Cultural Park, Ward 3, District 11.
Fireworks display time is from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on April 30.
Before that, as Dan tri Reportedly, on April 16, Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, signed a document to the Department of Culture and Sports, the City Command and relevant localities and units on the anniversary fireworks display. Celebrate the 49th anniversary of the liberation of the South and unification of the country.
As expected, on the occasion of April 30 this year, Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays at 16 locations. Of these, 1 high-range shooting point is located at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Duc City), low-range shooting points are organized at many points along the Saigon River and some other directions.
