The Party Central Committee agreed to let comrade Vuong Dinh Hue step down from his positions: Politburo member, member of the 13th Party Central Committee, and Chairman of the 15th National Assembly, term 2021-2026.
On April 26, 2024, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the 13th Party Central Committee met to review and give opinions on cadre work as follows:
1. Consider relieving positions and leaving work for comrade Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member, Chairman of the 15th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, term 2021 – 2026.
Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue is a key leader of the Party and State, received basic training, and grew up from the grassroots; assigned to hold many important leadership positions of the Party and State.
However, according to the report of the Central Inspection Committee and the authorities, he violated the Regulations on what party members are not allowed to do, the Regulations on the responsibility of setting an example for officials and party members, First of all, he is a member of the Politburo, member of the Secretariat, member of the Party Central Committee and is responsible for the head according to the Party’s regulations and the laws of the State.
Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue’s violations and shortcomings have caused bad public opinion, affecting the reputation of the Party, State and comrade personally.
Aware of his responsibility to the Party, State and People, he has submitted an application to resign from assigned positions and take a leave of absence from work.
Based on the current regulations of the Party and State and considering the wishes of comrade Vuong Dinh Hue, the Party Central Committee agreed to let comrade Vuong Dinh Hue step down from holding the following positions: Member of the Politburo, Committee Member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Chairman of the 15th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, term 2021-2026.
2. Decision to discipline comrade Le Viet Chu, former member of the 12th Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee
Comrade Le Viet Chu has degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; Seriously violating the Party’s regulations and State laws in performing assigned responsibilities and tasks, violating the Regulations on what party members cannot do and the responsibility to set an example; negative, accepting bribes, causing very serious consequences, frustrating public opinion, and very negatively affecting the reputation of the party organization and local government.
Based on the content, nature, extent, consequences and causes of the violation; Implementing the Party’s regulations on disciplining party organizations and party members for violations, the Party Central Committee decided to discipline comrade Le Viet Chu in the form of expulsion from the Party.
The Party Central Committee assigned the Politburo to direct relevant agencies to implement procedures according to regulations./.
On March 20, 2024, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the 13th Party Central Committee met to consider and give opinions on the dismissal of comrade Vo Van Thuong from holding positions and work.
