Discipline of Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huong Giang

On April 26, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed the Prime Minister’s Decisions to discipline the Chairman and former Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province.

In Decision 347, the Prime Minister decided to enforce discipline in the form of a Reprimand for Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province for the 2021 – 2026 term.

The reason is that Ms. Giang has committed violations and shortcomings in her work and the Central Inspection Committee has enforced discipline on the party.

In Decision 346, the Prime Minister decided to enforce discipline by removing the position of Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province from Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, former Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province.

The reason is that Mr. Quynh has committed violations and shortcomings in his work and the Secretariat has enforced party discipline.

Previously, at the 36th meeting held on January 24 and 25, the Central Inspection Committee (UBI) reviewed the inspection results when there were signs of violations and the review results, recommending examinations. Disciplinary action against the Party Committee of the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province.

The Central Audit Committee found that the Party Committee of Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee had violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations.

This agency is still irresponsible and lax in leadership and direction, allowing the Provincial People’s Committee and many organizations and individuals to violate Party regulations and State laws in the management and implementation of a number of projects/contracting packages. implemented by Progressive International Joint Stock Company (AIC) and companies in the AIC ecosystem; Many party organizations and party members were disciplined and criminally prosecuted.

The above violations have caused very serious consequences, damage and risk of damage, wasted a lot of money and State assets, caused public anger, and negatively affected the reputation of the party organization and local authorities, to the extent that they must be considered and disciplined.

According to the Central Audit Committee, responsibility for the above violations belongs to the Party Committee People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province terms 2011-2016, 2016-2021.

There are also responsibilities of a number of officials, including Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

At that time, the Central Audit Committee disciplined and reprimanded Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, and at the same time requested the Politburo and the Secretariat to consider and enforce disciplinary action against Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh.
