(PLO) – The forest fire occurred at about 10 a.m. this morning in the Ket Cang Duoc area of To Thuan hamlet, Nui To commune, Tri Ton district, An Giang province and the fire has not yet been extinguished.
On the evening of April 26, a forest fire occurred in the Ket Cang Duoc area of To Thuan hamlet, Nui To commune, Tri Ton district, An Giang province.
According to the Tri Ton District Police Department, the fire occurred at about 10 o’clock on the same day. Detecting the incident, forces from the Forest Ranger Department, Forest Management Board, District Military Command, Militia, District Police and Mobile Police, local authorities and people quickly deployed work to put out the fire.
At 4:30 p.m. on the same day, due to the high slope of the fire area, large rocks, many furnaces, large fires, lots of smoke, rocks exploding and falling from above, making firefighting difficult and unsafe. For the forces participating in firefighting, there should be agreement between relevant branches and the functional forces have withdrawn to ensure safety. It is expected that tomorrow morning the forces will continue to perform firefighting tasks.
The area of the fire has not yet been determined. Damage has not been calculated, mainly burning vines, mixed forests, bamboo…
The cause of the forest fire is suspected to be caused by people carelessly catching bees.
Currently, the Forest Ranger force and the National Guard Committee of Nui To and O Lam communes organize a force to monitor the fire.
