Nguyen Hoang Long shared that he came to table tennis at the age of 7 because his family wanted him to play the sport for health and his main purpose was to learn. Even though he only plays 2-3 times a week, Long has achieved many high achievements at the National Youth Table Tennis Tournament for many years in a row. The year he passed the entrance exam to Ho Chi Minh City National University and was selected by Ho Chi Minh City Table Tennis to join the Chinese training team, he won a bronze medal at the National Sports Festival and was also the turning point that helped him join the Chinese team. with professional table tennis.

Later, continuing to train in China and training with teams of athletes from Japan, South Korea, North Korea… helped him accumulate more experience and be awarded the national table tennis champion. After graduating with a Bachelor of Economics – Law and suffering many injuries and his family working at a table tennis club, Nguyen Hoang Long asked to quit playing early, when he was only 24 years old, and switched to being a coach. Long has been part of the Ho Chi Minh City coaching staff for 2 years and has contributed to training many high-achieving athletes for Ho Chi Minh City for many years.

In 2020, Long decided to quit being a coach in Ho Chi Minh City to return to manage his family’s club and build his own Youtube channel.
