Vietnam futsal team – Kyrgyzstan (1st half) 1-1: Manh Dung equalizes

After being eliminated in the quarter-finals of the 2024 Asian Futsal Championship, the Vietnamese futsal team continues to compete in the play-offs to compete for tickets to the 2024 Futsal World Cup. In the immediate future, in play-off match 1, the Vietnamese futsal team must find a way to overcome via Kyrgyzstan.

In the group stage, Kyrgyzstan’s futsal team surprised everyone by defeating Japan 3-2. This result partly caused the defending champion Japan to stop early. And the Central Asian team suddenly had a ticket to continue.

That shows that the Kyrgyzstan futsal team is an opponent that cannot be overlooked. Meanwhile, although the group stage was not really convincing, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team had an excellent quarter-final match against championship candidate Uzbekistan. The Vietnamese futsal team was only unfortunately eliminated by last-minute goals.

The problem for the Vietnam futsal team right now is still finishing. It seems like the players have not shown their composure and coolness at important times. Therefore, even though the team had more chances to score, they still had to admit defeat.

Anyway, the performance against Uzbekistan gives fans a lot of hope. Kyrgyzstan may be a talented team, but the Vietnamese futsal team has more experience.

In addition, coach Diego Giustozzi – who won the World Cup with the Argentine futsal team – has also proven his talent with a variety of attacks.

The competition between the Vietnamese futsal team and Kyrgyzstan will therefore be worth watching. If they can overcome this opponent, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team will enter the final play-off match to win tickets to the 2024 Futsal World Cup.
