On the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, Apple changed the screen design from “rabbit ears” to a new pill-shaped defect. However, it’s the way Apple customizes this area and calls it Dynamic Island that really catches the eye. In normal use mode, the black area shows up seamlessly, including with or without visible software on the sides.

When using the two new phone models directly under strong light or sunlight, users can clearly see the equipment in the Dynamic Island area. In addition to the pill-shaped Face ID cluster, the device has an additional front camera placed on the right but not completely close. When operating, the software will create more black space on both sides. For example, with music playback software, the left side of the missing section will display the song album image while the right side is an audio icon.

Previously, a number of similar images also appeared on the social network Weibo and caused mixed opinions. Follow Techgoing, some users think Dynamic Island is too ugly and “no one wants to buy such a product”. However, in fact, there are very few cases where users can clearly see the equipment in this missing area.

Dynamic Island is currently not supported by many software, mainly Apple applications such as Clock, Voice Recorder, Music, and calls that display effects in this area. The new feature is also controversial when it is said that in addition to beautiful and interesting effects, the actual usefulness is not high.
