Chapter name One Piece chapter 1067: “Punk Records”.
Cover: “Germa 66 Ahh emotionless travel vol 24: Judge vs Caesar.” In the cover, Judge and Caesar prepare to fight in front of Niji and Ichiji.
The chapter opens with Bonney wondering about Vegapunk’s once giant lightbulb head that has disappeared. Vegapunk explained that because it became too big, he cut it off. Bonney said what Vegapunk said was like cutting her hair. Vegapunk said the last time he saw Bonney, his head was the size of a giant. Jinbei also said he had heard rumors that Vegapunk was a big guy. So Bonney misinterpreted Vegapunk’s head as a balloon. Vegapunk said no and then said that he ate the Noumi Noumi Nomi fruit and bit his tongue. Vegapunk said that by eating that fruit, he became “Brainiac Man” and was able to remember all knowledge down to the smallest detail. The more knowledge you put in, the bigger your brain will be. Vegapunk said it was all because he was a genius with an unlimited store of data inside his brain.
Vegapunk’s brain has become the largest brain in the world and it still keeps growing. Luffy wondered about it because he didn’t see any change in Vegapunk’s head right now. Chopper greatly admired Vegapunk for his knowledge and health. Luffy asked Vegapunk if he would be stupid if he cut off his head and that angered Vegapunk. Vegapunk pointed to the apple above his head and said it was the antenna. Vegapunk points to the top of the island, the back of the giant egg has the words “Punk Records”, Vegapunk says it is the repository for his brain. The antenna on Vegapunk’s head has the effect of connecting him and his brain via psychic waves if the two are far apart.
Vegapunk said that Luffy’s group must have met a girl named Vegapunk (Punk 05), Vegapunk said it was his clone and there were 6 copies in total. Luffy asked if it was Ninja’s ninjutsu, and Vegapunk said that the six of them were all experts in a certain field. Personality is only 1 but labor power is 6 people. And on the other hand, if someone adds their knowledge to Punk Records, the sea of knowledge will expand. Vegapunk hopes that one day his “brain” will be shared with humanity. Chopper gets excited and asks if every researcher will be able to learn through this and Vegapunk says yes. Jinbei confronts Vegapunk about accessing Punk Records and the inconveniences that might arise if Vegapunk accesses other people’s thoughts. Vegapunk praises Jinbei as a sharp person and says science won’t advance if you worry about such things. This statement angered Bonney and she said that Vegapunk is still disabled, ready to sacrifice everything for science and that’s why Vegapunk turned Kuma into an emotionless fighting machine.
Bonney pulled out the Light Saber and pointed it at Vegapunk. Vegapunk tells Bonney to turn it off because it’s a buggy product. Bonney says she checked its sharpness earlier and tells Vegapunk to bring Kuma back to normal or she will execute him. Jinbei tells Bonney to calm down because killing Vegapunk will make a lot of enemies for her. Vegapunk tells Bonney to turn off the Light Saber right away because its function is to attract insects. Before Bonney could understand what was going on, a swarm of insects flew over and scared her into unconsciousness. While Bonney was unconscious, Luffy showed her the large scarab he caught. Chopper was shocked that Luffy cared more about the bug than Bonney fainted. Vegapunk calmly sat down and said that Bonney wanted to kill him was completely right and that he was lucky to be saved by a faulty product.
Vegapunk knows Luffy’s group has arrived in Wano so he wants to confirm if there is another dragon besides Kaido. Luffy says if Vegapunk means Momo and Vegapunk says it’s the failed Devil Fruit he left at Punk Hazard and looks like Momo ate it. Luffy didn’t understand why Vegapunk would call it a failure. Vegapunk says it’s an artificial Devil Fruit that he created thanks to huge funding over 20 years and from Kaido’s lineage. Vegapunk says that for some reason the growth of the fruit is not the same as that of the original fruit. Luffy said he understood why Momo was able to transform into a dragon like Kaido and he said it was a success because Momo can breathe fire as well as become very strong and he even became Wano’s Patronus.
Luffy said Vegapunk was awesome when he made it but Vegapunk asked “What color is it?” and Luffy replied “Pink”. Vegapunk said “See? Obviously a huge failure!” And hit his head on the ground. Luffy said pink is fine and Jinbe said Vegapunk must be a perfectionist. Luffy turns to the ancient cyborg and tells Vegapunk to make it move, thinking he’s the one who created it. Vegapunk said the cyborg was not his creation, it was the legendary metal giant that attacked Mary Geoise 200 years ago. This humanoid robot was created 900 years ago. During the attack 200 years ago, no damage occurred because it suddenly ran out of energy. The researchers at the time were surprised because it was an unknown existence in the scientific world. No one knows where it comes from and what it’s trying to do.
One Piece chap 1067: Vegapunk calls Momonosuke’s Devil Fruit a defective product just because it’s pink
The World Government ordered the complete destruction of this robot, but out of curiosity, the researchers then disobeyed the order and preserved it here. Information about the robot was passed down through generations of researchers without the Government’s knowledge. Vegapunk praises Luffy’s group for finding their way here through the wall, but in truth they got lost after being chased by the Kuma Police. Everything that Luffy’s group did so far has been observed by Sanji and Shaka’s group through the monitor. Of course they all heard what the original Vegapunk had to say about the cyborgs.
Robin says 200 years ago was when the discrimination against Mermaids started. Franky was surprised that the robot managed to climb the Red Line. Shaka says they built the Vegaforce 01 based on everything they learned from the ancient cyborgs. But there are some things they can’t replicate with current science. Creating a robot like this 900 years ago would have been unthinkable. Franky wondered about what they couldn’t copy and Shaka replied, “Energy”. Shaka said in the past there must have been enough energy to change the general perception of the world today. Nami says she’s glad Luffy’s group is safe and wonders about the girl with them.
Sanji recognizes it as the Jewelry Bonney pirate. Returning to Luffy’s group, Luffy praised Vegapunk’s head very well. Vegapunk said he did some bad things to Bonney. Luffy tells him to apologize and beg Bonney’s forgiveness and this angers Vegapunk and tells him what Luffy knows about Bonney. Vegapunk has something he wants to give Bonney. Changing the scene outside Egghead Island, CP0’s warship is attacking the mechanical sea beasts. Sanji tells Robin not to worry and that he will protect her as many times as he wants. Shaka tells CP0 to let Seraphim stay and leave. Shaka tells the rest to prepare for battle and refuses CP0’s entry. The scene changes to the Kama Bakka kingdom on the Grand Line. Lindbergh was running while alerting Dragon that Kuma was moving on his own. Kuma’s body still had a loose cord because it was in the process of being repaired. Some members think Kuma is still under the control of the Marines. Kuma kept running but fell down and kept running again. Koala thinks Kuma has lost his mind and forgot how to move. Dragon gets angry and asks where Kuma is going. Ivankov told Kuma to stay because it was time for the Revolutionaries to begin their war.
