Earlier this week, Toyota introduced a concept car called Toyota C-HR Prologue in Brussels, Belgium. This is a draft of tThe second generation Toyota C-HR is expected to launch in 2023 with the same bold design as its predecessor and 100% electrified engine options.

Toyota C-HR was first launched globally in 2016 and will be upgraded mid-life by 2019 making 2023 the perfect time for this SUV to enter a new generation.

The rather strange design compared to Toyota cars at that time helped the C-HR score points in the eyes of European users and achieve good sales in this region, thereby helping the car return to a new generation.

The car design is also made fancy like its predecessor for the above reason. The first two generations of this name are designed by the company’s ED2 studio in the South of France.

In fact, the prototype Toyota C-HR Prologue was taken from Small SUV EV concept launched in December 2021. The new version makes some changes to the front / rear bumpers, ceiling and wheels to bring the car to a complete approach. Overall, the chassis is extremely sporty thanks to the large tilting rear window glass, short head/tail and large wheels.

The 2nd generation Toyota C-HR chassis is rumored to use the TNGA-C type like the new Corolla Cross and Prius, so we can refer to the hybrid version from the SUV and the PHEV version from the 5th generation hatchback.

The Toyota C-HR 2nd generation will be assembled in Turkey along with another unspecified European facility. The car is located between the position of Yaris Cross and Corolla Cross in the current SUV lineup of the host brand.
