Ms. Monica Domina – Messi’s former teacher has just sent an emotional letter to her student before the 2022 World Cup final.
“I still can’t believe I taught Messi to read and write.” Monica Domina shared on Super Deportivo radio channel. She was the teacher of Lionel Messi when he was a child.
“Just walk through the neighborhood where Messi’s house is in Rosario, where it’s all light blue and white. I really want to meet Messi and I will write him a small letter. I hope it goes to Messi. I want to see Messi because I’m not well, I have a heart problem and before I die I want to hug him“.
Lionel Messi spent his elementary years in Rosario under the tutelage of Miss Domina. She was the first teacher of Lionel Messi, the stunted boy who is now becoming the best star of Argentine and world football.

“Hello, Messi. Thank God for letting me be your teacher. Thank you for being my student. Thank you for always being like that and never changing. I am a humble, wonderful, simple person. Thank you for making me feel proud to be a part of your life. Sorry for my requests. Thank you for giving us immense happiness during these difficult times.
Seeing you happy is my joy. I love that you can express your feelings. Thank you for the glory you bring. I really want to hug you to wake up from this dream, that I am your teacher, it’s an honor. That gives me enough joy to keep trying until the end. Good luck. We all love you.”
The teacher has never forgotten Messi but has not been able to see him again since the day the student left his homeland and moved to Spain to live. Domina said that there was a cousin of Messi who always called her when Messi returned to Rosario, but she refused because she was shy.
Lionel Messi stands before the opportunity to complete the complete collection of titles of the player’s life.
Now, Domina is battling nasopharyngeal cancer. Meeting Messi again when the student completes his full career is the last wish of teacher Domina.
“They always asked me if I wanted to come to the house to say hello to Messi, but I was embarrassed. But now if Messi comes back, I will go see him and I hope Messi can come to the door to pick me up. I thank Messi for being a part of his childhood.” Mrs. Domina said.
