Previously, on October 20, Mr. Blaszczak announced that the number of Polish army was 187,000 people.
On social networks, the Central European country’s top military official confirmed: “We have more than 193,000 professional soldiers in the territorial defense force and voluntarily perform basic military service.”
He emphasized: “Just determination and good management of defense work is enough to realize the project of building the most powerful land army in Europe.”
Previously, on August 15, at the military parade commemorating Polish Army Day, President Andrzej Duda announced that the country would spend a record budget of up to 137 billion Zloty (more than 33 billion USD), equivalent to 4% of GDP, for defense spending this year.
President Duda said that the goal of the above budget is to upgrade the strong defense system and modernize the army.
