Mr. Raisi made a 3-day visit to Pakistan from April 22 and pledged to boost trade between the two countries to 10 billion USD per year.

The two Muslim neighbors are trying to mend relations after unprecedented tit-for-tat attacks this year.

On April 19, israel-gui-toi-iran-post1630303.tpo”>explosions rang out in the Iranian city of Isfahan. Sources confirmed it was an Israeli attack, but Tehran downplayed the incident and said it has no plans to retaliate.

Previously, on April 13, Iran launched a series of missiles and drones at Israel in retaliation for the airstrike on the Iranian Embassy building in Damascus (Syria) earlier this month.

Mr. Raisi affirmed in his speech in Lahore: “The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to support the Palestinian resistance.”
