The Belarusian leader added that Kiev had miscalculated and warned that the country was taking a risk by betraying its own past and traditions. The current conflict is the latest clash “between the West and the East” and no side is stronger.
Mr. Alexander Lukashenko predicted the outcome of the confrontation “will not save the existing world order” and believes that the role of the US and its allies will be limited in the future.
Meanwhile, Russia continuously carries out attacks on Ukraine, causing heavy damage. Both Russia and Ukraine have kept casualty figures secret in the ongoing conflict, but US officials estimate hundreds of thousands of people have been killed and injured on both sides.
Ukraine said only 31,000 of its soldiers died in the past two years. However, unofficial estimates show the number is many times higher. According to Western media, Kiev’s front-line units were operating with only one-third of their strength as of early February.
Compared to the early stages of the conflict, Ukraine’s recruitment is now much more difficult, especially after unsuccessful military campaigns in the summer.
In the coming time, the Russian army plans to carry out many attacks on Ukraine’s logistics centers and weapons storage facilities.
“This year, the Russian army will receive the new generation S-500 air defense missile system in two versions: long-range air defense missile system and S-400, S-300V4, Buk missile defense system. -M3, Tor-M2U air defense missile system and new generation radar stations”, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu revealed.
