PolandCaptain Hanc proposed to his flight attendant girlfriend in front of the passengers, when the plane was about to depart from Warsaw to Krakow.
On April 22, LOT Polish Airlines posted a video on Facebook showing captain Konrad Hanc holding a bouquet of flowers, stepping out of the cockpit and introducing himself to passengers. He became emotional as he talked about his love and then knelt down.
“On today’s flight there is a very special person and I hope she doesn’t know this in advance,” the captain said. “Ladies and gentlemen, about a year and a half ago, while I was doing this job, I met the most amazing person who completely changed my life.”

“You are the most precious thing to me, my biggest dream that has come true. That’s why I want you to fulfill this wish of mine. Marry me,” Captain Hanc told you. The girl is flight attendant Paula.
Paula then smiled and ran down the aisle to hug and kiss her boyfriend. “I don’t know if it’s right to wear a ring on this finger,” Paula said as her boyfriend put the ring on her finger in front of happy passengers clapping for them.
The proposal took place on a flight from Warsaw to Krakow, a city in southern Poland near the Czech Republic border. Captain Hanc said he met Paula on a flight to Krakow. “That’s why I wanted to propose on this flight,” he said.

The video has received thousands of comments on Facebook. “Warm congratulations. Wishing you both a hundred years of happiness,” wrote user Sławek Justyniarski.
“Congratulations to you two. May your life be filled with beautiful memories and trips,” said user Monica Zielinski.
The soon-to-be married couple hopes their relationship will be as lasting as Ilona Zahn and Ian Duncan’s 50-year love story. The love story began when Zahn was a flight attendant and Duncan was a pilot on a Pan American World Airways flight from Rome to Tehran in 1970 and lasted until Duncan’s death in 2021 at the age of 86.
