Ukraine’s DeepState monitoring group said the village of Ocheretyne, located west of the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region, is being targeted by Russian forces. This shows that Russia is making progress towards the west every day.

In February, Russian forces captured the city of Avdiivka, about 16km from the village of Ocheretyne.

The latest frontline map from DeepState shows that the central area of ​​Ocheretyne village, including the train station, is occupied by Russia. At the same time, Ukraine also lost land in the neighboring village of Novobakhmutivka.

“At Novobakhmutivka, the enemy entered the village, up to 400 meters deep. Before, they only controlled the southeastern part of the village, but now they control nearly three-quarters,” CNN quoted Ukrainian military blogger Bohdan as saying. Myroshnykov said.

Directly south, the next two Ukrainian villages, Berdychi and Semenivka, are also witnessing the Russian advance.

DeepState said Ukraine’s 100th Brigade blocked an attempt to advance as far west along the ridge from the Russian village of Ocheretyne, but emphasized that Ukraine needed US military aid to reach the country as quickly as possible.

DeepState believes that Russian infantry is superior to Ukraine’s defense forces in terms of numbers, not to mention weapons such as KAB guided bombs, artillery shells and equipment.

Ukraine previously announced that it was in urgent need of important ammunition, including artillery shells and anti-aircraft ammunition.

On April 24, the Pentagon said the US would provide $1 billion in emergency aid to Ukraine, including weapons such as Stinger shoulder-mounted surface-to-air missiles, anti-aircraft bullets, 155mm artillery shells, Javelin anti-tank guided missiles and cluster bombs.

“In the next few hours, we will literally start sending equipment to Ukraine,” US President Biden said.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense said on April 24 that the Russian army the previous day had destroyed a Ukrainian drone factory.
