NATO believes Ukraine can overwhelm Russia, warning China not to support Moscow

According to Reuters, on April 25, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Ukraine is losing ground on the front line due to ammunition shortages, but still has a chance to overwhelm Russia if allies provide more weapons to Kiev. .

“In the past few months, NATO allies have still not provided the promised aid packages. But it is not too late, Ukraine can still overwhelm Russia on the front line, because new military aid flows are coming . The US Congress has approved additional aid packages, while the British, German, and Dutch governments have made new commitments. We need to implement commitments quickly,” Mr. Stoltenberg said.

According to Reuters, the new aid commitment from the US and NATO members will help Kiev escape the difficult situation on the front line. However, this process takes time and Ukraine cannot launch a new counterattack in the near future.

In his speech, Secretary General Stoltenberg also warned China not to support Russia if it wants to maintain good relations with the West.

“Last year, Russia imported 90% of microelectronic devices from China. These devices are used to produce missiles, tanks and fighter planes. Beijing cannot both help Moscow and have good relations with the West,” Mr. Stoltenberg said.

In addition, the NATO leader also called on the West to have a plan to not be as dependent on China as they were dependent on Russian energy.

“We made a mistake by being too dependent on Russian oil, gas and fuel. We must not repeat that mistake with China,” Mr. Stoltenberg emphasized.

As for China, Beijing has denied accusations that it is providing components for Moscow to strengthen its military capabilities. Beijing affirms that it still has a neutral position in the conflict in Ukraine.
