Before joining Vietnam Airlines in 2014, Mr. Chandan Bhattacharjee (often affectionately called Dan by friends and colleagues at Vietnam Airlines) had experience working at many major airlines in different countries. However, thanks to his love for the S-shaped country cherished since he was a child, he chose Vietnam as a stopover on his journey of conquest.

“When I had the precious opportunity to work at Vietnam Airlines, I didn’t waste a minute to think further and applied immediately. The first day I set foot in Vietnam, I had a strong feeling that I belonged to this wonderful country” – the Indian captain shared.

Talking about his experiences at Vietnam Airlines, Mr. Chandan affirmed: “Even though I have worked for many airlines around the world, to me, Vietnam Airlines is truly a family, where we all belong.” .

Here, senior leaders are always friendly and interested in employees, and colleagues and associates are always dedicated, disciplined and full of energy. At Vietnam Airlines, there are many opportunities for each person to learn and develop their strengths. Especially everyone is always happy and smiling.

Although there are differences in language and culture, the process of integrating into the “big house” of the Indian captain is very quick. Mr. Chandan shared that since coming to Vietnam, he has never encountered any difficulties or challenges, except that… he still cannot communicate fluently in Vietnamese, even though he is trying his best.

“In addition to chatting and getting to know colleagues, I also regularly go to the office to attend some classes or review sessions and seminars to better understand the working style at the Corporation and make connections. with everyone. Now, the flight team has truly become my family. Outside of work, we regularly connect and share with each other like blood brothers. The most memorable thing was on my daughter’s wedding day, the whole flight team went to India to celebrate with her family. Those are wonderful memories” – Mr. Chandan shared.

Captain Chandan said that Vietnam Airlines is one of the best working environments he has ever experienced. For him, every day is a valuable experience with different flights, from domestic to international flights. He affirmed that safety is the highest priority standard at Vietnam Airlines.

“Safety principles are deeply ingrained in every pilot. Intentionally violating safety regulations will be severely punished. The company always has review sessions to identify violations and implement measures to prevent violations from recurring.”

The captain also shared that behind every safe flight is the contribution of many individuals and departments. That is the team of experts from the Operations Center who always work diligently 24/7 to coordinate and coordinate between departments so that each flight is carried out in accordance with the proposed plan; These are people who are diligent in their work as aircraft maintenance engineers – helping Vietnam Airlines aircraft to be safe, clean and always meet the highest operating standards. It is a team of professional, calm and warm flight attendants even in difficult situations to properly represent the culture of the National Airlines.

“The dedication, love of work and loyalty of every member and every department contribute to creating perfect flights and I am extremely proud to be a part of this big family – the big Vietnam family. Airlines” – he said proudly.

As a flight instructor of the A321 Flight Team, up to now the captain still spends 3 – 4 hours a day studying to hone his knowledge and communicate with students. For Chandan Bhattacharjee, the “3D principle” (Devotion, Dedication, Discipline – Dedication, Dedication and Discipline) he set for himself is the key to success and keeping his career alive with every flight.

Sharing about his future plans, Mr. Chandan Bhattacharjee revealed that he and his wife have plans to settle in Vietnam. “Vietnam is my home, Vietnam Airlines is my family, the place where I belong” – the captain shared.
