Departments, committees and branches have strengthened inspection and examination of OSH, especially focusing on inspection at construction works and establishments with high-risk occupations prone to occupational accidents. Through inspection and examination, the authorities handled administrative violations of 3 businesses, with a total amount of 48 million VND. Thanks to that, awareness of OSH among businesses and workers has been significantly improved.
Besides the achieved results, OSH work in Thua Thien Hue province still has shortcomings and limitations. The number of occupational accidents still occurs and is worrying. In 2023, the whole province had 5 occupational accidents, killing 5 people; No occupational diseases arise. Human loss and material damage caused by occupational accidents have left pain to many families and a burden on society.
