On May 26, the police of Tan Phu District (HCMC) were investigating a house fire on To Hieu Street, Hiep Tan Ward.

According to initial information, at 2:55 pm on May 26, the functional force received a fire alarm at a house at the address 99/7/7 To Hieu Street (Hiep Tan Ward, Tan Phu District).

The police blocked the alley to investigate the scene of the fire

Receiving the news, the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Rescue (PC07) of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department dispatched the Fire and Rescue Police Team, the Tan Phu District Police Department, the Fire and Rescue Police Team, Rescue Police Tan Binh District mobilized 7 vehicles and 36 officers and soldiers to the scene to fight the fire.

The fire was brought under control by the authorities and completely extinguished at 3:18 a.m. on the same day.

The fire killed Mr. TCC (65 years old) and Ms. NTHN (60 years old) with burns and is currently being treated at the hospital.

The fire burned about 10/18 square meters of the house and some household items; not yet estimated to be cash. Authorities were able to control the fire to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent houses.

Police have cordoned off around the burning house to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire.
