Nguyen Minh Tuan: ‘Working with star Holly Wood is stressful but fun’
Actress Caylee Cowan twice chose costumes made by designer Nguyen Minh Tuan, appearing at Cannes on May 22 and 23. The first dress with a blue butterfly pattern, inspired by Blue Butterfly – her favorite work, Meaning of freedom, living the dream. The second outfit is Gold, Made by a Vietnamese fashion house in mid-2022, inspired by the image of Turtle Tower in Sword Lake (Hanoi) in the evening.
Nguyen Minh Tuan received an order from Caylee Cowan’s crew in April, and had about half a month to make the costumes. In the process of information exchange and implementation, the fashion house faced a lot of pressure due to the deviation of the nose, changing colors and last minute costumes at the request of the actors. When the finished product appeared on the Cannes red carpet, Nguyen Minh Tuan broke down with happiness.

Nguyen Minh Tuan, 31 years old, graduated as valedictorian in Fashion Design from Hutech University in 2016. He used to make clothes for Miss Tieu Vy, Do My Linh, H’Hen Niê, Khanh Van, and was in charge of evening gowns for contestants. Born Miss World Vietnam 2019, Miss Vietnam 2020. In 2021, he contributed to the victory of Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien in the final of Miss Grand International.
Fashion houses often design sexy, attached dresses to help the wearer show off their body. The evening gowns of Nguyen Minh Tuan were worn at many events by Mireia Lalaguna Royo – Miss World 2015 and Miss Universe 2005 – Natalie Glebova.
